In 1996, we separated from Bobby Sox and became a member of the Amateur Softball Association (ASA). Having to start from scratch at that point, we have emerged into a well-established, fiscally sound league, averaging 15 to 20 teams per year. Relatively small in size, our league registration varies between 180 to 220 girls per season, ranging from age 5 to 16 years old.

We are very fortunate to be able to play the majority of our games in the most beautiful sports complex in Southern California, the Cerritos Sports Complex. Located in the southern end of Los Angeles County, the residential community of Cerritos is home to the largest auto mall in the nation, an outstanding performing arts center and one of only three buildings in the world made with titanium (our library).

Annually, we host an All-Star tournament and every year we receive comments on how lucky we are to be playing at the Cerritos Sports Complex all season long. One of our participants was so impressed, they posted the following on their web site:

“The 10 and Under All Stars traveled to Cerritos to play in that league’s annual softball tournament. The Sports Complex was beautifully manicured and featured lit-up scoreboards. These were a short drive from the Cerritos Towne Center, shopping, restaurants and the hotel in which the girls stayed. If there is a ‘Softball Heaven’, this is it.”

Cerritos Girls Softball Association is a non-profit organization run solely by volunteers from within the community.
